The Hanged Man upright meaning
A man hangs upside down by one foot from a living wooden beam shaped like a T, with leaves still growing on it. His other leg is bent behind the knee, and his hands are behind his back. There is a bright halo around his head, and his face is calm. He is not struggling. He looks like someone who has just understood something.
Upright, The Hanged Man means a pause you cannot rush. The situation is on hold, and pushing makes it worse. What it asks for is a different view: turn the question over, look at it from their side, from a year from now, from the angle you have been avoiding.
It is also a card of letting go of control. Not giving up. Giving in, for now, to the fact that this will move when it moves.
