What does a good luck spell actually do?

What is the difference between a good luck spell and a road opener?
They overlap. A road opener clears the way to something specific: an application, a move, a case. Good luck work is wider, for when everything is stuck and you cannot say which part. If you can name the door, take the road opener. If you cannot, take this one.
How do I keep good luck after the spell?
Stop feeding what the work just cleared. Say yes to small openings, finish the thing you left half done, clear the clutter where you sleep. The report gives you two or three concrete things for the week after, because a cleared road stays clear when you walk it.
