Five of Pentacles upright meaning
Two people walk through falling snow. One is on crutches with a bandaged head and a bell around his neck. The other, a woman, holds a thin shawl around herself, her feet bare. Above them is a stained glass church window, lit from inside, with five pentacles in it. They walk right past it.
Upright, the card means hardship. Money runs short, health suffers, or you feel left out in the cold while other people are warm inside. It is a lonely card, and the loneliness is often worse than the lack. You can feel poor in a full house if nobody is looking at you.
The window is the part people miss. Help exists, close by, and the two figures are not looking at it. Pride, shame, or plain exhaustion keeps them walking. The card does not say you deserve the cold. It says there is a door you have not knocked on.
