Who, exactly? One person. Contact work pointed at two people at once goes nowhere.
What counts as contact? Decide before you light anything. A text? A call? An unblock? Write it down. If you do not know what you are waiting for, every notification becomes a reading.
Did they ask you not to contact them? If they did, respect it. This work is for silence that is pride or awkwardness, not for a clear no. I will not cast it over a clear no, and I would ask you not to either.
How to cast a simple contact me spell at home
You need one candle, paper and a pen, your phone and about two hours.
What you need
- One yellow or light blue candle, or red if the contact is romantic. A chime candle burns down in one sitting.
- A square of plain paper and a pen.
- A pin or a small knife to carve with.
- A drop of honey, optional, for sweet words.
- Your phone.
- A fireproof plate on a clear surface.
1. Write the petition
Write their first name at the top. Under it, your first name. Between them, one sentence in the present tense: they reach out to me, and it is easy. Keep it to that. Do not write what you want them to say. Contact work fails when it tries to script the conversation.
2. Carve the candle
Carve their first name near the top of the candle and your own near the bottom. Draw a small line or arrow from their name down to yours. The flame burns from them toward you, which is the direction you want the message to travel.
3. Set the channel
Put the petition under the plate. Touch a drop of honey to it if you are using honey. Put your phone face up beside the plate, sound on, well away from the flame.
4. Light it
Light the candle and say their name three times, then your sentence once. Then leave your phone alone. Do not check it every minute while the candle burns. Stay in the room and let it burn down. If you must leave, snuff it and relight it when you are back.
5. Afterward
When the candle has burned down, fold the petition small. Keep it in your phone case, your wallet or under the phone at night until they write. When they do, you can throw it away.
How to read the burn
In contact work the flame is the conversation. Write down what it did before you decide what it means.

How long a contact me spell takes
I do not give dates. Contact work is usually the quickest to move, because it asks for one small action, not a change of heart. A crackling, clean burn often shows within days or a couple of weeks. A low, struggling flame says pride is doing the talking on their side, and it can take a full lunar cycle.
What to do while you wait
This is the part that decides more than the candle does.
- Leave the silence alone. Do not send the second message. Do not like an old photo. Do not ask a mutual friend to mention you.
- Keep your phone on and your days full. Being busy is not a trick. It is the energy you want them to meet.
- When they write, answer warmly and plainly, like someone who was doing fine. Do not bring up the silence in the first reply.
