Two of Swords upright meaning
A woman in a white robe sits on a stone bench with a blindfold over her eyes. Her arms are crossed over her chest, and in each hand she holds a long sword, so the two blades make a wide X above her shoulders. Behind her is the sea, with rocks sticking out of it, and a thin crescent moon in the sky. She is perfectly balanced, and she cannot see a thing.
Upright, the Two of Swords means you are stuck between two options and have stopped looking at either. Stay or go. Them or the other one. Say it or keep the peace. Holding both swords up takes a lot of strength, and it gets you nowhere.
It can also mean a standoff between two people. Neither of you will make the first move, so nothing moves. The calm is real, and it is not the same as things being fine.
